Guide to HLS Live Streaming
For every user to have the best experience on any device, only HLS Live Streams can be broadcast to Metaverse Spaces using the Media Share Plugin.
HLS Streams are adaptive-bitrate streams that use the filename extension .m3u8
Both RTMP Live Streams and Video Assets can be converted into HLS streams for smoother and synchronized playback across the web3 environment.

Configuring your Live Stream
We recommend OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) for operating your livestream. OBS is free, relatively easy to use, and works with almost all computers, microphones, and camera systems.
While you can use OBS for a simple single camera and audio feed, there are features available for producing a full multi-camera stream with pre-loaded graphics and content. Most livestream producers use some form of OBS and there are numerous how-to videos on setup and configuration.
This first video is a good demonstration of OBS software setup. Learn OBS in 10 Minutes.
This second video goes deeper into connecting various external microphones, video game systems, and more.
