A basic overview of what "NFTs" are and what to do with them in the Vatom Wallet
What is an NFT?
An NFT is a Non-Fungible Token, a unique digital "token" that many see as a certificate of authenticity, or a deed of proof confirming you own a digital object. NFTs identify unique digital items such as artwork, collectibles, or game items. The NFT's ID code can be publicly tracked back to the original creator, to ensure authenticity and prevent counterfeiting.
Fungible means ‘replaceable by another identical item’. Non-fungible means irreplaceable or unique. By having unique identifiers for digital objects, ownership of a specific digital asset can be verified through blockchain-based ownership records. Creators can limit the number of editions minted as NFTs.
To date, most NFTs have been simple images and video files, and by owning the NFT token you are granted access to project perks or other . At Vatom we created our very own Smart NFTs that can do so much more.
What can I do with my NFT?
Once you have an NFT in your wallet, it is your property. Vatom SmartNFTs can be held and interacted with in the Wallet, displayed in Metaverse Spaces, sent between users, dropped on the map to view and pickup in Augmented Reality, and minted out to Non-Custodial NFT wallets like Metamask.
The NFT Creator can restrict certain actions from Vatom Smart NFTs.
If you do not see the ability to "Share, Send, Drop, Mint" etc. this has been decided by the creator of the NFT

What are Vatom SmartNFTs?
Our mission at Vatom is to connect humanity through networked digital objects of value. Our Smart NFTs are a new asset class: scarce interactive digital goods that can be collected, traded, combined, and redeemed for tangible material. They move easily between users and are network-aware, providing a new communication platform that will change how we interact with each other and with our surrounding environment.
Our Smart NFTs are the next step in the evolution of human engagement and will power the emerging digital goods economy.
