We recommend the following asset libraries for finding models and environments to use.
Caution: Many 3D models created for architectural and cinema rendering are much too complex and heavy for Vatom Spaces. See Scene Limitations
Use the following search terms when looking for models to download:
- "Low-Poly" (Under 10,000 Polygons/Triangles)
- "Baked Lighting"(Baked-In Lighting / Baked Textures)
- Textures 1K or Below (1024x1024px)
- GLB / GLTF format (.glb, .gltf)
"Low-Poly" means the model is made up of a small number of Polygons (faces or sides). Complex 3D models for architectural renderings can have upwards of a Million Polygons or Triangles, Vatom Spaces works best when Models are under 50,000 triangles. More than this will cause performance issues in the space.
"Baked-in Lighting" is a technique of printing the lighting and textures into a single texture image. This gives the appearance of high quality lighting and rendering without having to process it in real-time.
GLB / GLTF is the file format used for importing 3D Models into Vatom Spaces. Files can be converted to GLB/GLTF using a number of online converters, as well as using Blender. .glb files can be uploaded directly, .gltf files must be packaged into a .zip file.
