Redeemable Objects are Vatom NFTs that can be redeemed for a physical prize or other item, by scanning a custom QR code with the in-object camera at a booth, vendor, or other real-world redemption site. Once redeemed and validated, the digital object is transferred to a Merchant Wallet.
Design
Start by creating a New Design and selecting the "Scan Merchant QR" Design, found in New Designs > Gift > Scan Merchant QR.
Assets
When creating Redeemable, you will need the following assets
- Title (max 35 char.)
- Description (max 100 char.)
- 350 x 350px Icon Image (JPG, GIF or PNG)
- 750 x 1200px Gift Background Image (JPG or PNG)
- Is there a limited quantity of physical objects available?
- What is the maximum quantity available?
- Counter Design (created in Vatom Studio)
- 750 x 1200px "None Remaining" image
- Count Exceeded Button (styled in Vatom Studio)
- Optional Button with Link (styled in Vatom Studio)
Icon Image, Name, Category, and Description are the standard requirements for any design.
Main Art Asset is optional for this design. If a 3D object is uploaded, it will be used to represent the object in AR and the Metaverse, if no Main Art Asset is uploaded it will use the icon image and the redemption card will load full-screen.
Gift Values
The MerchantID directs the redemption to the correct wallet address. Each redeemable object must be pre-configured by Vatom for the specific redemption wallet. Please contact your Vatom representative to connect your redeemables.
Card Design
Gift Background Image is the main background image for your card. 750 x 1200px JPG or PNG image.
Redeem Button is clicked to open the QR Camera. This button is styled in Vatom Studio
Info Button is an optional additional button that can be customized and styled in Vatom Studio.
Counter - If a maximum quantity is set, this counter displays the quantity of redemptions remaining. Styled in Vatom Studio (background color, text styling, size, placement)
None Remaining Background - If the maximum number of redemptions is set and the counter reaches it's limit, any remaining users will see this image instead of the standard redemption page.
Count Exceeded Button - If the maximum number of redemptions is reached, this custom button appears over the "None Remaining" background.
Campaign Setup
When a redeemable object is added to a campaign, it has the unique "Redeem" behavior locked and enabled.
There are a few settings in this behavior, including the "Total Quantity" to set the maximum number of redemptions allowed.
- Limit Per User: How many of these objects can a user redeem?
- Limit Period: How often can a user redeem one of these objects?
- Total Quantity: How many redemptions can occur? Example: An event has 1,000 water bottles to give away.
- Request User Confirmation: User must press 'confirm' after scanning to confirm redemption. Without confirmation, as soon as the user camera recognizes the QR it will automatically redeem.
Redemption
A QR must be created from the MerchantID. When this QR is scanned by the in-object camera, the redeemable object is delivered to the Merchant Wallet.
We recommend having the redemption QR hidden from view until the on-site redemption attendant is ready to handle redemptions.
The redemption attendant can watch the digital object disappear from the user wallet and arrive in the Merchant Wallet, and then deliver the physical prize or reward.
