Token-Gating is currently available only for Enterprise Plans and Special Events. Please contact us if you would like to add Token Gating to your space.
With Vatom Token Gating, you can restrict access to your Vatom Space pace or certain zones within your space based on any NFT token(s) that you create or that your guests have. Token Gating works with both Vatom NFTs and Etherium based tokens on ETH and Polygon.
Token-Gating a Space
Once the token gating plugin is installed, Admins can use the "Tokens" menu in the Admin section of the User Bar to set up a token requirement to enter the space. This will prevent guests from entering the space entirely if they do not hold the correct token(s)
The following error message appears after the Landing Page, if a guest does not have the correct token in their Vatom Wallet.
Token-Gating a Zone
Using the Token Gating Component, create a zone and name it accordingly. You can set this up on small scale, and then resize the zone around an area you would like to restrict. Add the "Token Gating" component to your zone.
With the token gating component added, choose "Update Tokens" to bring up the Token editor.
There are a few different situations available for token gating.
Restrict Time / Date: Only activate this token gate during a set time period.
Multi-Token Condition: Set the configuration for multiple tokens.
- And: Require both tokens A and B to be held.
- Or: Require either token A or token B to be held.
Add New Token: Add a new token configuration.
Load Rules: Load a JSON backup of your rules settings.
Save Rules: Save a JSON backup of your rules settings. Settings are saved automatically within the editor in real-time, so you do not need to click "save rules" every time you make adjustments.
Vatom Smart NFTs
There are several fields for Vatom NFTs. Filling one of these only restricts that value, meaning if only CampaignID is selected, holding any objects within that campaign will allow access.
For a specific token, entering all three (CampaignID, ObjectID and BusinessID) will increase the speed of the gates' response.
Object, Campaign, and Business IDs can be found through the Wallet (Object Properties > General Info) or through Vatom Studio (pictured below)
Campaign ID: The CampaignID for the campaign these objects are in.
Object ID: The Vatom ObjectID.
Business ID: The BusinessID of the creator.
Minimum Tokens Held: Set a minimum quantity of this item that the guest must have. Do they need to hold 2 or 3 of this token?
Custom denial message: Set a custom message to display to guests who are denied access.
Traits (Optional): If there are additional 'traits' attached to your NFTs, you can define these to further restrict access. For Vatom NFTs, these traits are only available for "POP" style designs.
Use Vatom Loyalty Points to set a token gate, and restrict access based on the number of loyalty points a user has. (coming soon)
ETH Based Tokens
To use ETH based tokens, all guests must have added their Metamask Account to their Vatom Wallet.
Contract Address: The ETH contract addess for your tokens.
Minimum quantity held: Set a minimum quantity of these tokens that the guest needs to hold.
Custom Denial Message: Set a custom message to show the guest if they are denied access.
Traits (Optional): If there are additional 'traits' attached to your NFTs, you can define these to further restrict access.
