Certain Vatom Plugins will now be billed based on usage. Usage charges are only applicable when the plugin is actively turned on and being utilized. This means that you can install the plugin without incurring any charges unless you or someone else in the space actually uses the plugin. Free Monthly Minutes
Your business will receive a total of 100 free minutes for each of these plugins per billing cycle. It's important to note that these 100 minutes are billed at the business level, not individually for each space, even if you have multiple spaces under one business.
To avail the free monthly minutes, your business administrator must first add a card on file. Without this card, the metered billing feature of the plugins will not be accessible.
Once the 100 minutes have been used, the card on file will be charged for any additional usage.
During your billing cycle, you can easily monitor your current usage by navigating to Studio > Account > Billing > View Current Usage Button.
At the end of your business's billing cycle, you will be able to view your invoice. Your business will be billed once a month, according to your regular invoice dates. To determine your billing cycle, simply select the View Current Usage button to see the billing dates.
What happens if I uninstall a plugin during a billing cycle?
If you uninstall a plugin during a billing cycle, you will still be charged for the usage up until the point of uninstallation. However, any usage after the uninstallation will not incur charges.
It's important to note that if you uninstall a plugin and then reinstall it during a billing cycle, the usage will resume from where you left off, and you will be charged for any usage of the plugin for the remainder of the billing cycle.
How are the charges calculated for usage-based billing?
The charges for usage-based billing are calculated based on several factors, including the number of minutes used, the number of participating users, and the items added (such as Media Screens, Presentation Zones, and Conferences). The rate per minute is specified in Studio > Account > Billing > View Current Usage Button. These charges are added to your regular invoice at the end of each billing cycle.
How can I monitor my usage to avoid exceeding the free monthly minutes?
To effectively monitor your usage and avoid exceeding the free monthly minutes, follow these steps:
- Go to Studio > Account > Billing > View Current Usage Button.
- This will display the number of minutes you have used for each plugin and the remaining free minutes for the current billing cycle.
- If you are approaching your limit and wish to avoid going over, the business administrator can uninstall the plugin.
